The Honorable Thom Tillis will join Rep. Kelly Hastings in Cleveland and Gaston counties for a town hall meeting
and tours on Monday, Sept. 19, 2011. Reps. Tim Moore, John Torbett, and Jason Saine and Sen. Kathy Harrington are scheduled to join Tillis and Hastings at various events.
The first event will be at noon at the Cherryville Fire Department in Cherryville. Hastings and Tillis will participate in a town hall meeting and they will present a certificate to honor the Cherryville American Legion Post’s 2011 baseball team; they won the state tournament in Morehead City this summer. Leaders from Gaston County, Cherryville, and the Cherryville Chamber of Commerce will be on hand. Please notify the Cherryville Chamber at (704) 435-3451 if you plan to attend.
Citizens are invited to participate in all of the day’s non-partisan activities.

12:00 noon – Cherryville Fire Department;
1:40 – Waco Fire Department;
1:50 – View from The Pointe overlooking Moss Lake;
2:00 – Tour of Cleveland County Water in Lawndale;
2:30 – View of South Mountains from the Casar area;
2:50 – Tour of Cleveland Volunteer Fire Department in Shelby;
3:00 – View of Crowder’s Mountain;
3:30 – Tour of FMC Lithium in Bessemer City;
4:15 – 4:30 – Tour of Tryonota Volunteer Fire Department (Tentative);
5:00 – Tour of Dallas Police Station and Dallas Fire and Rescue;
5:45 – Tour of High Shoals Volunteer Fire Department;
6:30 – Tour of Alexis Fire and Rescue.
