Dear Gaston County Republicans:
It was not that long ago that we were on the front lines campaigning for the entire slate of Republican candidates in Gaston County. The successful election season in 2012 brought us new Republican leadership in North Carolina and continued Republican leadership in Gaston County. In 2013 we were able to enjoy the benefits of those successes while working toward ensuring new victories in 2014. We have had many committed volunteers working over the past year to help make that goal a reality.
The time has come for us, as a Party, to recognize those who have given of their time and talents in 2013 to make these future successes possible. Our way of doing this is with our Republican of the Year Award and Senator James Forrester Lifetime Achievement Award. Both of these awards are given annually at our Lincoln Day Dinner to recognize two of our most loyal Gaston County Republicans.
You will find nomination forms for these awards by clicking the links below. The forms include information about each award as well as the guidelines and requirements for nominating individuals for the awards.
Please note that any registered Republican in Gaston County may submit a nomination or be nominated for either award. Nomination forms must be filled out completely. It is not sufficient to simply write someone’s name on the paper and submit it. Please give as much detail as possible as the why you believe your nominee is deserving of the award.
The deadline to submit nominations is February 15, 2014.
Late nominations will NOT be considered.
