I am announcing my plans to run for re-election as a member of the Gaston County Board of Commissioners. I have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the county budget, all the various departments and have held leadership roles through out my tenure on the board including Chairman of the DSS board twice, vice-chairman of that same board twice and served our citizens nearly 15 years on DSS, Gaston College Board of Trustees, Council on Aging, the Gaston County Museum of Art and History, the Parks and Recreation Department, the Health and Human Service Board, just to list some of the organizations I am committed to.
I have served both as Chairman and Vice-Chairman to the Board of Commissioners and that during a time when the county was able to recruit both Dole Foods and National Gypsum along with many other smaller projects, all that brought new and high paying jobs to our county.
I would like the opportunity to continue my work with other current commissioners that I know want the same things for our county as do I and this group can make these things happen.
In closing this announcement, I would like to wish all of you a wonderful new year and that it is blessed with good health for all. Please consider TOM once again and know I have, I do and I will continue to be responsive to the citizens 100% of the time.
Sincerely,
Tom Keigher
